Commuting to work on a bicycle for years
It certainly hasn't been easy, because the American city that I work in is decidedly not friendly to cyclists. I don't think about work at all during the time I'm riding to the office on my bicycle. In fact, I don't think I think at all during that time! Once I arrive at the office and feel my heart rate drop from 90 to 65 bpm, I begin to work. I do work that requires all my focus for an hour fifteen, and then go for a walk to organize my thoughts for the next fifteen minutes until I return to rushing through my work again. I do feel tired when I am going back home again, but your head does eventually feel clearer once you are racing towards home on a bicycle. Nowadays, going at 10km/hr doesn't even get me breathing all that hard.
