The only reason they might accept this case it's when your spouse find a very good job in the other states which will give her no other way just to move other there. Without that reason, it will be very difficult for your interview.

That's very weird to uscis. Why living in a different state? You should work in this question. As above mentioned, if you or wife got a great job that's fine. Otherwise, prepare yourself for a hard time. Specially if the officer wake up in a bad mood.
