Combo Interview N400 & I751
hello everyone
my interview was on July 8 I was previously married when I got my green card to my first wife but unfortunately things didn’t work out so we got a divorce and I remarried and filed for the I751 and N400 with my new wife when we went to the interview the officer mentioned we needed a waiver, as I was researching on Google I guess they call it a divorce waiver, the officer didn’t deny me, but instead informed me he will send me a notice of what he needs, so from my understanding I think he wants to make sure the first marriage wasn’t fake which it wasn’t, but should I be concerned, can he deny my case? and I am waiting for the paper and it can take up to one month, I do not know what to do. but has anyone went through this. please help and advise me thanks

You could not file a I751 based on the first marriage if you are divorce. you are right, it’s divorce waiver. you probably filled jointly. you new wife has nothing to do with your previous paperwork. if he would intended to deny it, he would say so. he is definitely giving you a chance to fix your application and move forward with it.

question on here, do I have refile it as divorce waiver in the 751 form? or will they let it pass and just let me send proof
