COMBO CARD RENEWAL FEE
hello,I applied for VAWA on September 2021 and Received EAD/AP combo card in April 2022, which is expiring in April 2024.
I-485 is still pending.
I am aware that there is no USCIS fees for EAD/AP renewal, but attorneys are asking for $1750!!!( $500 for work permit & $1250 for AP) to assist with EAD/AP renewal.
Should I have to go through attorneys for renewal or we can do it ourselves?
If yes, can someone please help with process/documents/where to send the documents etc.

I guess no renewal fees for ead or ap renewal because your EAD/AP is based on I-485. Be careful with your money.

@O A I did mine myself and I paid $985 for the both 410 for EAD and $575 for AP. I think there's a waiver for some people not everyone it depends on your income. I submitted my application to NBC but the notice still came back from Vermont. It takes me 3months to receive my CO9 renewal.

@O A just go to USCIS portal and search for the forms and documents needed.

@O A if you did fee waiver when you first applied, yes you will have to pay for the renewal, but if you paid when you did it. then it will be free, work permit is $410 I don't know about AP, your lawyer is probably charging you service fee. but you can actually file it yourself

yes, I have a fee waiver.
the $1750 is what my lawyer want to charge only for filing fee that I know it’s overcharge.
this why I’m trying to find out how I can apply by myself to avoid paying him this amount

my lawyer messed it up with waiving the fee when we filed for whole package and now i have to pay every year almost $1000 in fees for uscis. i paid $410 and $575 for ead and ap. and $500 to my lawyer

did your attorney send copies of your precious i765 and 131? I think you can use them as reference but be careful about the sections where asking if it’s renewal. I took look at them, they were actually pretty straightforward in my opinion…
or I hope you can find local less inexpensive paralegal or immigration community center that can help you to prepare forms.

I don’t think there is a fee. my Lawer asked me also to pay 800 which I ended up doing my combo card myself . I renewed it already 3 times and there are weren’t any fee.
