College/University using Prima Facie Determination
Hi guys, how are you? I have a question, has anyone got accepted into a college/university or any medical program using Prima Facie Determination? I’m located in New Jersey. I haven’t received my EAD or SSN as yet. (CO9) I know it’s a long wait and I want to get into school or do something while waiting. please let me know if you have and the process. It depends in the school. Some Colleges they require a SSN for clinicals purposes. In my situation, I got accepted into the nursing program without it or while awaiting my VAWA. I showed them my prima facie as a proof that I have a case pending with the USCIS. I bet you are fine😊 and for sure they'll accept you anytime. Goodluck😊🙏

To access any govt financing you will need to have your SSN

I am at state university but like @Nik Nelly said I have a SSN and have filed taxes which I had to enter on the Fasfa application for financial aid. The only thing Prima facie did was make me be considered as a resident and I didn’t need a visa. You might have to wait for your EAD. It probably just depends on the school.

Yes. Try Southern New Hampshire University, they are quick and know what they are doing. What some other universities doesn’t even know what is VAWA or Prima Facie.
