collection of the $1000
Hi everyone!
On December 30th, I returned from Mexico through Seattle airport and was charged $1000 due to the new law. I paid with my credit card and re-entered the country. On January 26th, I checked my credit card statement and saw that CBP refunded the money to my card. I don't know if this is happening to everyone or just me. My permit is a C09.

probably its collected mistakenly, that is why they refunded the money.

Yes, possibly. I told the CBP agent that with my permit I shouldn't have to pay the fine, and she said yes. I wasn't going to argue with her; as long as she let me in, everything would be fine. 😂
