citizenship interview New Jersey
Hi all,
I filed my Citizenship application in April 2020 and had my Biometrics appointment in June 2021. I haven't heard anything since then. Do you think hiring a lawyer would be beneficial in expediting and obtaining the interview date? also,meanwhile since my waiting time's been so long my Green Card has expired and I'm wondering if I could travel and gain the reentry back to the US. please let me know if anyone has the similar case.

if they already scheduled you for the interview you just have to call uscis in the morning and they can give u the day 1 (800) 375-5283

My case processing times is constantly being moved forward. last time it was supposed to be till October 2021 and it's passed :(

Don't need to hire a lawyer. You gonna waste your money. Some files from April & may 2020 is locked is somewhere! (don't ask where). My suggestion is: if you GC is expired make an info pass to get a stamp in your passport. At the counter ask the person to double check your case and verify your interview date. I've heard some people did it before and 2 days later got an interview appointment. Don't hire a lawyer, they cannot do anything at this point. Also, if you do some research here you can see a bunch of folks with the same issue from April and may. Good luck

don’t waste ur money to hire a lawyer because a lawyer can’t speed the process. make a info pass so that u can have ur passport stamp before u travel outside the country

Me in chicago filed in March 2020 got biometrics in April2021 and still waiting for interview stereotype answer on phone call to uscis.Getting crazy.
