Citizenship has not been granted over a yeat
Hi everyone,
I just want to know if anyone here has their citizenship filed for a year and hasnt had your appointment scheduled yet. Please let me know to how to resolve it.
I filed my N-400 January 2025 and my case is still showing ‘case is still being processed’ by today. I tried to chat with agent but they had no clue and told me to just wait. it’s so frustrating because i know the longest period i have to wait is 6 months, but my case is more than a year.
Please help if you’ve had the same issue. Thank you everyone!

Waiting over a year for an N-400 interview is longer than average, but it does happen depending on your local field office and background check timing. Some offices move in 6 to 8 months, while others take 12 to 15 months or more, especially if there are staffing backlogs or pending name checks.
First, check the processing time specifically for your field office on the USCIS website. If your January 2025 receipt date is earlier than the “case inquiry date” listed, you can submit an outside normal processing time request online. If that does not give a clear answer, contacting your Congressperson for a case inquiry can sometimes get a more detailed status update.

hi. yo aplique feb 28 del 2025. en dic me programaron la entrevista y 3 días antes me enviaron una carta cancelando la entrevista hasta una nueva programada, y todo por ser de cuba como uno de los 19 países en la lista de terrorismo por el gobierno. todos los dias chequeo mi cta y nada de nada.Solo queda seguir esperando, solo Dios sabrá
