Citizen petition for spouse( no pd)
ok so I’ve been seeing a lots of posts with US Citizen spouses petioning for beneficiaries. is my understanding that there is no priority dates when it comes to US Citizens as applicants for the beneficiaries. if that’s the case why do people keep posting that nonsense if priority dates only apply to green card holders petitioning for spouses? I’m I lost here because I’ve never heard of priority date for US citizens petitioning for spouses

It’s not nonsense, it’s the date USCIS received their applications. The receipt notice even refers to it as a priority date.

The petition i-130 from US citizens for spouses has a priority date. Based on that date they are supposed to approve the petitions in order. But sometimes they don't follow that strict order. For example for consular processing, they are approving now cases with PD July 3r to July 7th 2023, but they have left behind some cases from June like mine and others'. But for adjustment of status they should work the same way but for the timelines' posts I've seen here I noticed they work kind of different and I don't know about it bc my process is consular.

people, there are no priority dates for Us citizens filing for spouses because there’s no cap on visas. the only thing you must do is wait until your paperwork is processed. do your research
