Hi! I’ve just tried chatting with agent and I gave my spouse’s I765 case number.. they asked for info like name, date of birth etc and I gave mine.. the response was that it doesn’t match the record.. I answered that I am a US citizen and checking for my husband’s case, but he said that only he can do that… I thought that a citizen can check for their spouse.. what’s your experience??

The only person that can talk to uscis is the person who applied And they’re gonna need their name for the verification info. But if that person is there next to you and can verify the information about themselves to them they can give uscis permission to talk to you at the moment
