No issues, your GC is for future employment so USCIS is not outright going to deny your case for you not working right now or trying to switch sponsor. However, you are working in skilled job so be prepared to get questions asked about it, your intentions to go to unskilled job after you get your GC is questionable. So if you live far away from your sponsor start looking for apartments, sign a lease, start showing intention that you will start to work after you get your GC.The best evidence would be to take your unskilled job’s paystubs incase of an interview.

How long did you work for your original sponsor? I would start working with new sponsor asap and get that supplement J signed.

@Stressed out they’re not approving cases right now, so I guess he can wait till rfe/ interview as long as the spot is permanent and employer hires immediately.

it is high risk if you switch the sponsor with the job not similar or the same. they might ask the reason why you switch the sponsor if you have an interview. If the same or similar job you should be good, but be prepared for the good reason of sponsor switch.

@Stressed out @Paan Singh I worked for 15 months since I got my EAD and moved to different state and worked as nurse still now. Leaving nursing now since date is current. New employer is same category (cashier) but different state again.

@kams r you’re good have pay stubs from new employer and Supplement J ready. They’re interviewing everyone these days so expect an interview especially in your case where your sponsor’s address and your address is out of whack. They’ll ask you “Why you never worked for initial sponsor?”. So prepared to answer that.BTW,Why not go skilled route if you’re a nurse ?
