I uploaded my U.S. citizenship certificate to my online uscis account. I also sent a letter to them asking to change my status and sent a copy of my certificate with it. But you have to keep calling them and make sure they do the change because they might take a while.

Send a letter to the service centre where your case is being processed. Prepare a cover letter. enclose naturalization certificate, Your receipt copy. On the outerside of the letter write i130 status upgrade. Send it and it will be processed soon.

My husband was a permanent resident when we filed my I-130 for me and our son, the I-130 was approved after a while and my case was sent to the NVC... recently my husband became a US Citizen and we sent a cover letter for a concurrent adjustment of status filing (I-485, I-765) for both me and my son (on my son's filing we added a new form I-130 since we changed categories at the time my husband became US Citizen) we attach approval letter for form I-130, medical exams, form I-864, proof of marriage, birth certificates of our children, tax returns, copies of the Visa b1/b2 cards with which we entered the United States, I-94 travel record, my husband's citizenship certificate , social security card, ID, etc. Likewise, I went to the NVC website and filled out the public inquiry form letting them know that my husband went from being a permanent resident to a United States citizen and attaching a photograph of his citizenship certificate. NVC responded to me the next day that they had updated my case category (from F2A to CR1), told me to continue logging into my NVC online account so that it would remain active and not lose contact for a year (because the case It could be closed) two days later I received an update on my I-485, asking as evidence for my husband's most recent tax return and w2, letter of employment and pay stubs for the last 6 months. I hope my information is helpful, each case is different. luck!
