change of case status
Hello everyone, I have a question about my I-485 case. Last week my case status changed from “Case activity reviewed by USCIS” to “Your case is still being processed.” I contacted a live agent through USCIS chat, and the agent told me that my case was transferred from the National Benefits Center to the San Antonio Field Office. I already had my interview in 2024 for both forms I-130 and I-485. My I-130 was approved, but my I-485 was not approved at that time because a visa was not available. Now the agent told me that my case is in the queue for an interview, which confused me because I already completed the interview for the I-485. My questions are: 1. Is it possible that USCIS will schedule another interview for the I-485 even though I already had one? 2. Has anyone had a similar experience where their case was transferred back to the field office after the visa became available? 3. Could this just mean they are reviewing my case again before making a decision? Also, I am from one of the 75 countries under additional review, so I wonder if that could affect the process. I would really appreciate hearing from anyone who had a similar situation. Thank you.
