We submitted the I-130 (CR1) on January 29th 2023 and it went to actively review on that same day. The case status on our USCIS account has been on “case taking longer than expected” since August 2023, and we were hoping for an approval soon as I have seen January cases being approved this month. However, today the status changed back to 2 months estimated time until decision. I know the status on USCIS account is not reliable… but I would appreciate to know if anyone has had a similar experience, and if this is a good or bad sign. Thank you!!

it is not accurate. Mine went down to 1 week to it is taking longer, than, it stayed thay way for months before counting down to one week again. Now it is back at it is taking longer. I wish I knew the accurate waiting time .

@Fatima A thank you!! I got a notification in lawfully of my second actively review. Then I went to check my documents in the USCIS account and the approval notice was there 😊

@shenique Lawrence I submitted my I-130 on January 29th last year so 11 months to get approved

@ngomez * thats amazing ! I’m so happy for u! hopefully I get an approval soon! I was worried when my lawyer said I should be getting the approval letter in the mail first ( I’m currently over seas with my husband ) so I have family members checking my mail. I guess I’ll start looking in the documents section on my USCIS account from now on!!

@ngomez *. It happened to me too. On August 5th i got the same message that my case is taking longer than expected to process on my I-130 form, my PD is January 27th and I’m still waiting because I’m doing adjust status and i don’t have my approvals yet for any forms

@Diego Carmona right after posting this I got a notification on Lawfully that I got my second actively review. I checked my USCIS account notice and the approval was there. hope you get yours very soon 🙏🏻 I am doing consulate processing
