JM, I read that you did not argue your case arround the pilot shortage, can you please share what did you argue your case about (propose endeavor)? By the way congrats on your approval ! Thanks in advance

@J G Thank you 🙏🏼and wish you the best. While I mentioned the shortage on my petition I argued my proposed endeavor as a pilot in fields within the industry with national and even a global impact such Aereal Firefighting, Air Ambulance, Cargo and at the end The Airline Industry. Good to mention that at the time I summited my petition (May 2022) there was a severe Pilot shortage but as I read in recent weeks it is worse now, so I think Pilots should have more probabilities with their petitions at this time.

JM Thanks a lot for the info provided. Yes, pilot shortage is getting worse specially the next comming years. I have a few friends that did argue Pilot shortage and got denied recently. USCIS respond them that shortage should be requested via labor certification (PERM). I think that your proposed endeavor was an smart way to claim national importance which applies for NIW. I’m planning to apply via the NIW, but I’m trying to draft a convincing endeavor, since focusing only on pilot shortage have not worked for my friends. Thanks again for your help

JM, great info on the AAO, by looking at it definitely just arguing pilot shortage is a week argument. Can I ask you a few extra questions? -Did you file your I-140 via consular processing or via adjustment of status? -Did you use lawyers or did it your self? -What aviation membership did you use? -Do you hold advance degree? @J G Adsolutely! you can mention the shortage and the negative impact but no argue your petition around that. 1- I did through consular 2- I did by my Own 3- AOPA, HAI, NBAA, FAA-Wings, My Country Pilot Assosiation 4- Yes! I have a Science BS

I’m planning to start working on the petition on my own as well, at the moment I’m in the research face and your info gave me a good insight on how to approach the endeavor. Did you use a any of those DO IT YOUR SELF website? there are some of them that sell you a package that includes their own petition so customers can use them as a guideline, and just cost around 100 bucks.

When you filed your I-140 did you use your home county address to recieve mail notifications from USCIS or used a USA address? The reason I ask is because mail in my country (Ecuador) takes months to recieve and sometimes gets lost, I was thinking on using my brothers US address for mailing while applying from abroad for consular, what is your experience with this topic? This place seems to be a good tool, He (Oscar) sells a DIY package and a NIW video course, I follow his YouTube chanel and there is a lot of good info. Question: Did you use a US address on the I-140 to recieve mailing from USCIS? I ask because in my country ECUADOR mail takes months to arrive and some times gets lost, so I was thinking on using my Brother’s US address to recieve the notifications from USCIS since I will be doing consular processing and I’m not in the US but I travel there often. Once again, thanks for all the advice

@WUA WAH Nothing yet, I think that they are waiting till’ May to send it so, In that way I couldn’t be able to get my PD within May Visa Bulletin. Maybe they are holding it because there is no visa available.
