Case transferred from NSC to VSC
I spoke to a live chat agent earlier today and was told my i130 case for spouse as USC is currently located in Vermont but the receipt notice in mail says Nebraska. Why would they transfer? Now I’m going from 5 months to 14 months. How disappointing. I am not seeing many people sharing their experience with Vermont. Anyone would like to share their timeline? petition submitted 3/1/22

That’s not good @M R. I am sorry to hear that. I guess it will be a year long wait for me at least.

I was in Texas and they moved me to Vermont as well around my 5th month after PD. I got AR in FEB 11 of this year.

@Sara K - How did you find out they moved you to Vermont? Did they send you a notice? Because they didn’t send me anything, no letter or email. what month and year did you submit? Also, why hasn’t it been approved yet if it’s in AR since Feb 22? Seems like they just take way too long.

@Jeniff Recio - Can you provide some more info on your petition please? USC or green card holder? what month you submitted? Was it always at Vermont or transferred? Thanks in advance.

@Sholan Alam I’m at Vermont from the beginning. I have an I130 PD May 14 2021. I’m the peticioner and I’m US citizen. I apply too for the k3 which is the I129f and PD is June 8 2021, is sitting at Vermont too.

@Jeniffer Recio - Wow. I am sorry to hear about your long long wait time. I am truly disappointed now. I was happy at first when my case went to Nebraska and checked their processing time is max 7 months so that’s not bad at all. Now at Vermont I am looking at over a year. I am so deflated that I haven’t even told my wife yet because I know she will be really sad. I will wait another month and see what happens then I will check again then let her know to lower her expectation and wait at least a year and if not more.

@Sara K - the automated system when you call uscis just tells your case status. what did you ask to find out about service center location?
S
Sara kMay 14, 2022
when you call the system say information pass and it will direct your call to an officer where they can see at which location is your case

@Sara K - thank you so much for that information. I will call first thing Monday morning and verify if my case was in fact transferred and estimate how long it will take. I will give you all an update afterwards. Thank you all for sharing. If anyone else wants to add anything please do.
