you need to call uscis, but it’s not very quick. if I was you I would call uscis ask them if it’s a ok to go to New York (if you can of course) and if they say yes I would just go, because less time you add to you case the better.

if I was you, I would have gone to that interview in New York based on how complicated it is to get things done quickly with uscis nowadays. the officer would have corrected that mistake right there and that could have helped you somehow to avoid too many questions 😉
