Case taking too long!
my PD is June 2017, Local office was Chicago. 1st interview was October 2018 which I believe it’s went well and our lawyer was there and I can said we present enough evidence, went for another interview August 2019 and we were separated my wife US citizen was call in 1st and was inside for an hr, when I was call in I was interview for also an hr, which I believe it’s went fine bcos our lawayer was also there. noting since then until January 2020 when the investigator went to my wife grandma house and she was interrogate and ask a lot of questions about our marriage which she tell them the little she know about us, the officer left his name and phone number for grandma to gave my wife which she sent to my wife immediately and we both call the officer and she was asking a lot of questions on phone again and was on phone with the officer for like hr, she even ask the officer if he wanted to talk to me but the officer said no that is not necessary. since then we haven’t hear nothing till date and I will be renew my 4th EAD next month. have called many time and my wife have also called them many times, we have been making service request since last year noting and noting. our lawyer have also call them but they keep saying same thing that our application is pending reviewed, at this point my wife and our lawyer was thinking we should Sue them so that they can made a decision, ( please my beloved people on here what is your advice/suggestion on our case) thanks in advance

Ola Ola, I really feel your situation. I still wonder why the profiling of applicants, especially from Nigeria. This is really not fair. Next week will also makes it a year after my interview with no decision made yet. I never got a EAD. So, nothing to work with. Same Chicago field office. At this point, just conclude with your lawyer and file a Mandamus. This is way too long. Haba!🥺

its too bad , they are doing this on purpose, just to punish and emotionally stress you , they are always looking for a stupid reason to deny your appreciation, if only you don't have a prior immigration violation, then its advisable to file the writ of Mandamus, it will force them to adjudicate on your case and grant you the green card,, wish you all the best

@Ola Ola, just relaxed your mind, I have a similar case PD NOV 2017, interview Oct 2018 and up till date to response. Each time I call they say, they are running a background check. So I decided to relax and watch but I strongly believe there are some policies that was signed by the previous administration which put a stop on all Green card to some countries. no amount of call you place will be turn down but hopefully if the new administration has hit the ground running there will be a good news. relax my brother it's not the end of the world.
