I heard they’re doing January 2019 in Seattle this month. so hopefully by March you get your interview. I filed in may, and it says the same for me “ready for interview since august 2019”

yes, I have received work permit (also renewed it once). didn’t apply for parole as I am afraid to leave and not being able to come back

How can you tell where the processing center is at cases wize? So that means that if my PD issue August 19 2020, they might not look at it for another year or more??

The center for interview is usually your local field office, which in our case is Seattle. You can check your local field office and if it Seattle, your case might be far out based on what I have read and experienced myself.

For Seattle, that’s normal, average time to get interview is 2 years, 2 months

@kathleen, sorry to be the bearer of bad news but not really, especially since the pandemic, right now it’s around 9 months for EAD, am June and haven’t gotten any bio as yet. Am apart of a WhatsApp group for Seattle FO, can share the link if you want to join. There have been some lucky few who had their bio scheduled in less time. Also, employment based GC seems to get their EAD quicker and their renewals.

hey everyone, just heard back from a couple friends. it does seem like they’re doing interviews from processes that started 2 years ago (almost exactly). also, they got the 10 year green card. so that’s a plus.

Hello guys, our status just changed to “Interview was Scheduled” on Feb 16, 2021. Our pd is March 2019. so it took a very long time but it finally is moving. I will update as I know more.

I still haven’t received the notice in mail. do you guys know anyone who has been scheduled for interview and have they received the notice in mail?

Thats odd. have you tried calling them?

I have, they don’t pick up the call. they just keep routing to submit an online inquiry for which they’ll probably not reply until after the interview date.

have you heard anything from them?

They had sent it to the wrong address, despite us updating it. they email us the notice. the interview is done and our case is approved with card mailed out

Good for you Ali! That's wonderful news 😊 I just got my bios on August 5th and now I have a status of ready to schedule interview... But still no work permit 😕
