Case remains pending (eb2 + cross chargeability)
On Dec 05, both husband’s and my 485 status changes from “fingerprint were taken” to “case remains pending” and saying” temporarily pausing work on your application because an immigrant visa number is not immediately available to you”
This is frustrating because my husband and I use cross-chargeabilty rule, so the priority date is already current (Mine is ROW). Not sure why it is not available to us…..we submitted 485 in July 2022
Wonder if anyone on the same boat? any advice on how to resolve “case remains pending” is appreciated!
Note: husband’s i765 and i131 are approved a few days ago, while I haven’t receive receipt for i765&i131 yet….🥲

I applied using CC in June 2022 and case status changed to CRP in September. No movement since then.

they are pausing EB2 for the rest of the year and planning to resume in January or February. my lawyer just told me.

it's holiday season so acceptance will be low. some people have been getting CRP even in last 2 months when they were current. some see it as good sign as well. it's very chaotic with USCIS. it's tough to trust one news over the other.

Thanks you all for the advice and sharing your timeline! I also reached out to my attorney, and it seems nothing much we can do now. My attorney plan to submit inquiry in Jan or Feb to check on it

My husband just received super weird response from Emma. When asking case status, Emma said “you should receive something this month”, then we ask what’s it? Emma said “a decision notice by mail” and she added that “The case is still processing.”
I am very confused how USCIS can send a decision notice when a case is still processing…..?

I also applied i485 under eb2 with my husband cross chargeability and i485 received in April 2021. still no news. it’s been too long what should I do?

Hello Bonnie, has your problem been solved? I have the problem, cross-chargeability and PD is current but my case was just changed to remains pending.

Hi everyone, did any of you receive any updates? I'm in the same situation, cross-chargeability and current but still case went to CRP
