CASE RECEIPT NO STARTING WITH IOE
My 12 year old daughter's receipt number starts with MSC and and mine starts with ioe. I filed for AOS 2 months after I filed mine but she received her work permit within 5 months and I haven't.
I understand that receipt numbers that start with IOE are for cases that are filed online. But I never filed online. I mailed my packet.
Does anyone have an idea what this is?

I did not file online but my receipt start with IOE and mailed mine too.

Have you seen any movement on your case since you filed. I have not.

IOE just means processed online regardless of you mailing it or actually filing online

USCIS can decide to process your case with the online system and receipt no has nothing to do with approval for ead. Right now i would say its luck

due to the high workload USCIS opted to use IOE for many of the cases since they would probably transfer them depending on their needs. MSC means your daughter case is being processed at the national benefits center. however, that doesn’t mean it won’t get transferred to another facility

when you mail your case to a wrong uscis address
uscis will make a correction and send your case to the right address using their online mailing system
that’s why some cases will later change to IOE
