did you use the NVC case number on your AIS account and made the account in the IV website? just asking as today I saw someone had that wrong and it gave that message you mentioned.

I didn't know you can do that, I thought you only register on Yatri and make the payment

when you put your applicant information it asks for the DS160 and your NVC case number, passport, etc.

En la pagina que te puse arriba haces una cuenta con tu email, luego piden que agregues mas infotmacion como aplicante. Si no has llenadonla ds160 o ds260, segun tu tipo de visa, debes llenarla antes de poder pagar. :) creo que el error va a ser que pusiste un numero de caso diferente al que tienes que poner, que es el que les dio el NVC. Espero te sirva la informacion.

ah no me deja, de una sale El error "the case is not ready for an appointment" yo Tengo cuenta en Yatri por una b1 que me negaron en El 2015, y pude recuperar la cuenta y actualizar Datos. pero cuando voy a hacer la cita me dice "The case is not ready for an appointment" esta asi desde El 05 de Julio y creeme que ha Sido super doloroso, yo estoy en Un grupo de apoyo en Whatsapp para k1 applicants y literal hubo Gente del jueves pasado que Este lunes ya pudo pagar y agendar.

es que la B1 y la K1 son en paginas distintas, la K1 para el consulado es una visa de inmigrante, por eso la pagina de Yatri dice IV (immigrant visa). Yo tmb tuve K1 por eso se todo lo de la cuenta y la pagina y etc. :) tienes dos numeros uno de recibido que empieza con WAC y uno que te dio el NVC, que es el que pones en esa cuenta de la pagina https://ais.usvisa-info.com/es-co/iv que empieza con otras 3 letras, es con el que revisas CEAC donde te dice que estas en Ready. Intenta hacerlo ahi asi no es la misma pagina que ya usaste, la diferencia esta al final la de la B1 dice NIV y la de K1 dice IV.

I contacted the embassy, and they activated the number immediately - feel kind of silly now not contacting them straight away when I encountered the issue (maybe out of embarrassment of the 100s of emails I've already sent lol). Bogota case: I have the same problem for a k1 visa appt in bogota. I emailed the website email listed there with asa and ill update here tomorrow when they reply. Ceac says ready and i have packet 4 which says to make an appt on the visa website but its giving me an error. Some other posts say to just wait a few more days. Also mine went to ready status on the same day as yours feb 27 so I'm thinking its too soon. I was able to make the appt today march 1 but I'm not sure if it was because i emailed the site and they fixed it because of that or if i just needed to wait until they finished updating their system. Well i had to email Bogotá embassy so they could send me the Packet 4 which lists everything i needed to tske with us. THIS PERSON DID THE SAME THING I DID AND GOR HERS RESOLVED, WE JUST KEEP GETTING A REPLY SAYING: The case is under internal process and you have to wait, you don't have to continously email us since this will not expedite the processing. Are we being discriminate? idk what else to think

@AC yo estoy usando la pagina correcta, para visa de inmigrante, el user Te deja loguear en ambas, ojalá pudiera mostrarte captura de que si estoy logueandome en la IV

he cacharreado tanto esa pagina que Al final tiene un boton que Te deja cambiar de modo IV a modo NIV. El Punto es que Este "error" segun investigamos es algo que la embajada puede corregir inmediatamente, sentimos que no les ha dado la Gana de ayudar.

y en la infomacion del aplicante (osea tu) esta todo actualizado? ds160, pasaporte, numero de caso? si si, entonces puedes llamar como te dijeron al consulado. :( en FB estas igual que aqui? si quieres te busco ahi. ay si te creo :( a veces son muy lentos y se justifican con todo.
