Case processing l -I30 /485
We applied for our green cards in late 2019, had our interview in 2021, and since then have only been renewing our EADs. Despite multiple follow-ups by us and our lawyer, there’s been no progress. Meanwhile, my partner has stopped contributing financially, saying I earn more. I’ve been covering rent and expenses, including his vacations, yet when I suggest a small getaway together, he claims he’s too busy. I confided in a colleague, and my boss offered company sponsorship. Their lawyer says it’s possible to file while my current case is pending, but a separate lawyer I consulted claimed I’d have to leave the U.S. I'm confused and not sure which direction to take.

@Lima Sahi Hi, you are married to an American? He/she has stopped paying for things? It states in your post “we applied for our green cards” which would mean both of you are foreign. There is form I-140. Petition for you to work. You do not need to leave the US from everything I have just read. There could be some issues because you have a 130/485 applied for so there could be issues of USCIS thinking you got married for a greencard and it is not working out so you are going to get a work visa. If I were you (only if it is an AOS) file a lawsuit to force them to give you a decision on your greencard. Get the greencard and stay married. You will get a 10 year card if you are doing an AOS. If you marriage does not work out, you have a greencard and married in good faith. The lawsuit costs around $700 and you can do it yourself.
