I485 outside normal processing time
Hello everyone!!
Through an agent from Emma, I was told my case was outside normal processing time and she created an inquiry with the USCIS office having jurisdiction over my case.
I wanted to know if anyone has been through this situation before and what this means and what shouldn’t I be expecting next?? Any insights is appreciated.
FYI- My PD is March 4, 2022.

I'm curious too, what's the normal processing time? when did you submit the application, May be that will help to determine

@Fluid Venture I am not sure whats the normal processing time but I had submitted my 485 on Dec 2022 to TSC bur it was transferred to NBC on January 2023 and later on March it was transferred over to Portland Maine FO.

The normal processing times is only a guide on when a case is adjudicated however when the visa bulletin retrogressed which in your case you are not yet “current” then your case will still remain pending as no visa is available for you as of the moment

@J A Thank you for explaining. Now it makes sense. The visa bulletin doesnt seem to change after the new FY. Not sure if we will get any good news on Dec Visa Bulletin.

I also submitted 485 in Dec 2022. My date recently became current on 1 Oct. Status is case remains pending. I'm current as of today.

@Fluid Venture When is your PD?? And how do you know you are current as of today?? Is there some tools to check it??

@P G there is a visa bulletin that comes out every month. If you are eb3 skilled then the PD is dec.2021 rest of world (ROW). If you are from China, Mexico, India, Philippines then PD might be different
