case of my wife is on NVC.
I filed for my wife and her case was sent to NVC. the problem now is that I was supposed to file two 130 forms one for my son. what can I do coz she can't go to the embassy alone without my son who's Young. I filed for my son still waiting for his case 1-30 to get approved. I left my wife's case at NVC level I don't if there's a way I can keep it onhold to wait for my son's case to get approved so that they can go together to embassy. any advice please??

Wow. that’s a really huge mistake. Both forms I-130- for your wife and son should have been filed the same time and they’ll approve both at the same time. But, you’ll need to file for your son separately now and would need to wait for it for get approved and approval now takes forever. What I would do is to attach your wife’s approval letter, if you have one, with your sons application and send it. If you haven’t done that yet, you can still send it online using the online access. Good luck

how old is your soon? find out if you can add him to your wife's application as there's an option for accompany and follow to join. I added my son's own to my application and it's been approved.

we did the same mistake too. we just filled out other I-130 for my kid and submitted it with my Approval Letter. Only one day after that, i saw the status: "Being Actively Reviewed" ... Nothing yet but BIG HOPE!

I'm a US citizen and my son is 3 yrs old now. He was born before I got my citizenship.

It’s a little complicated because your wife’s process would keep moving on with NVC and shortly they might call her for an interview and if she passes her interview, she’s bound to travel to the US leaving your 3yrs old behind. So, I think you should just go ahead and fill a I-130 for him immediately and attach your wife’s approval letter and just let the process play out. Maybe they’ll speed up your son’s processing while you kinda hold on or delay your wife’s process. all the best

so what you could do is leave your wife’s paperwork’s at NVC level do not pay any of the fees they have listed but you will have to keep her case current until your son paper process. You will keep her papers current by calling nvc every 3 months or login on to uscis website to check the case status.

I made the same mistake thinking that my stepdaughter would automatically be added to my husbands case, since they asked about his children. His case is currently at the NVC in Ankara, Turkey. She’s in another country living with her grandparents in Lagos Nigeria, not exactly sure how this should be done. Should another I-130 be filed for her?

once approved you will declare your minor children and the nvc will ask you to pau for the visa.. thats what happen to me i dont have a child when my parent petition me so after paying the affidavit of support i fill up the form and declare my son then they send a letter that i have to pay my son's visa then after that i recieved the letter for my medical and my son was included now
