USCIS service request responses often take a few weeks, but timing varies. Some people get a response within 15–30 days; others get generic responses or delays. If there is no useful response and the case is outside normal processing, the next steps are usually another inquiry, congressional inquiry, Ombudsman, or attorney escalation.
