maybe theres a document you are missing. these days they deny if you have untranslated birth cert or any little error. dont lose hope. lets get the reason for denial first. do you have any charges against you?

@ob o They asked for RFE like a month ago for this evidence: Evidence of your ex-wife’s immigration status (only had a picture of her drivers license) Proof that you lived together (apartment lease, car insurance, joint bank accounts, etc.) (only had 3 years of taxes with both of our names filing married with same address) Good Faith Marriage (similar to the above anything you can show to prove the marriage was real: joint bank accounts, new affidavits from friends confirming your relationship, etc.) (had a lot of pictures and affidavits from friends acknowledging marriage) Good Moral Character You must go to the police department in every county where you have lived and request what is called a Clearance Letter. (I have a violation of protective order felony charge against me in 2017 and a DUI that was dismissed in 2023)

They send Me RFE i didn't receive and no response they Denied they i requested reopening then after month they ask me evidence same as you send them then still they working on since 43 months ago i send them RFE 2 months ago they Send Me 4 RF E same

@cm first of all I would like to send my deepest sympathy this is something no one wished on his enemies and I believe getting the right lawyer would help.but after going through all this comments there’s something no one is telling you and it’s the felony charges on your history because this administration would do anything to weed out matter of fact it’s one thing they looking for and I think that’s where your problem probably came from…seek help from a very professional lawyer there would or might be away around.Good luck

Wow, that sucks. They sent you multiple Prima Facie and after such a long wait they denied it — that’s really scary. You should talk to or hire a good attorney to see if they can reopen your case or file an appeal. My case is with Moumita Rahman — you should call and ask if they can do something. They are specialists in VAWA cases. Also please keep posted what reason they denied for whenever you receive notice handy

I violated the protective orders because of her lies she made me to violate the protective orders and i stated everything in my statement when i filed vawa Jan 2025,

@nkr tt one of the vawa conditions are good moral character, with felony charges he can't overcome that or maybe it's highly difficult especially with the current immigration conditions

In the time where petty theft done during teenage years is also considered a red flag, and a reason to deny it, you had a felony and a DUI which is kind of a reddest flag in their logic, and when they see this all alarms go off and a reason to deny it. Sorry to hear but try again, and justify its all cleared and you are a changed person. Focus on good moral character bullet point.
