Case being “actively reviewed”
My case has been “actively reviewed” for over 2 months now... how long did your case take to be approved after being actively reviewed?

R K - it depends on the cases and service center. some cases stay in that status for less than 24 hours. others spend months. just be patient. that's all everybody can really tell you. it sucks but it is the truth too. 🙂

California #TheWorse

Does anyone actually know why they transfer Cases to California when this is the busiest Service Center out of all of them? I don't understand
Lilo PelekaiDec 6, 2021
Jennifer - USCIS transfer cases for different reasons. sometimes it is to deal with backlogs, and other times it's because the petitioner relocates. depending on where the petitioner relocates to, a different jurisdiction may take over. for instance, I'm currently relocating from East to West. my asylum case is relocating with me to a different jurisdiction, in California.
Jennifer MDec 6, 2021
Then why do they transfer from Nebraska to California, when Cali clearly has more backlog than Nebraska
Lilo PelekaiDec 6, 2021
Jennifer - that's a USCIS thing. each case is different and different jurisdictions treat cases differently. 🤷♀️
