Case at Field Office
Called USCIS today and ask if my case was transferred to the field office and they told me yes. It’s been at the Mt Laurel field office since June 2024. I filed Feb 23, 2024. Anyone have any experience with their case being at their field office and how long has it been because it’s been practically 7 months there. My case status for both I -130 and I-485 are currently at the decision step and both says 2 months until decision. Care to share you opinion, experience anything that will give me some peace of mind, will be gladly welcomed. Also can I call the field office for an update?

I haven’t found out if my case has been transferred and it’s a shame that we have to call and are no longer notified of the transfer. I’ve followed a few cases on lawfully who said their case were transferred and don’t think there’s any reasoning for how long it stays at FO before approval. Seems to be case by case and also based on location. I also know that being told it was transferred isn’t always correct unfortunately.

@lalo mayor did you get approved exactly one year since you filed or one year since it got to the field office?

@Mo Me I was on the phone for a couple minutes with the rep and he didn’t seem ti be rushing me as the others, he also gave me the exact date it was transferred and I was able to ask more questions which he answered.

when I asked Emma about my case, it said it was transferred to the field office, but it actually was approved at NBC. I wouldn’t fully trust that. but approval took exactly a year since applying.

@B B my case was transferred to my feild office on 12/2023 “little over a year” when they had the glitch in November last year it went from step 2 to case decision “4” also changed from 2 weeks to decision to 14 months. No activity since.

@B B spoke to someone tier 1 or 2 they put in a inquiry I got a reply stating that my case was processing normal time. The processing time at my field office is 17 months. So I guess the other time it was at NBC didn’t count. My PD August 2022 😩

@Baby Love I really don’t understand how they decide to work on our cases. I’ve seen people who applied months after us get through so fast. Is it that our cases fell into a few lazy officers’ hands because it doesn’t make sense at all. You would think we didn’t pay them our hard earned money and we’re begging.

@B B it feels hopeless at times when I see people who filed way after me gets approvals but I just keep the faith. Our day will come. 🙏🏾
