Case approved within a year plus one month .Will receive a 10 year card, was married for 2 years and 8 months . The interview was super easy 2 questions and done .
Tips for Filling : First: Avoid filling right after marriage wait a year . By doing you can fulfill the 2 year requirement and skip the conditional card. It will also give you more time to collect evedence for a bonafide marriage . The biggest proof of a marriage is duration , so if you can prove that you are not a in a hurry it can make your case more convincing. Quality over Quantity: In case of evidence, more is not better. Officers don't like unnecessary paperwork . 15 to 20 proof is perfect. Same goes for pictures 15 or 20 pics that depict major milestones and events . Second : Avoid taking lawyers to the interview . Marriage base green card has a 90% approval rate . People with good proof hardly get denied . You only need a lawyer at the interview if you have a felony or you entered illegally in the country . Lawyers are not a helpful during the interview because they don't have a major say in your basic questions. Sometimes it might even weaken your case . Tips for traveling with Ead card: Don't travel if you have a felony or entered the Us illegally. If you don't have any of these, travelling shouldn't be a problem . The risk is quite low .But be prepared to answer questions from homeland security. Also they can and will check your phones to make sure you converse with your spouse . They will also ask for pictures of you together .

Field office was Houston , which is suprisingly a slow office , I was not expecting my interview till July . Yes they checked my phone , it was like a mini interview . Homeland security has the power to check your phone if you are not a citizen.

@Benny I totally agreed 👍 👌 that's a pure fact 💯💯... Not to disgrace lawyers but they are unnecessary nowadays. it's a waste of money.

I disagree with not filling till up to a year. unless your spouse is super rich. hence you need to work and support your spouse.

there’s no law of averages. works in some cases, doesn’t work in other cases. same with lawyers. the arrangement worked in your case so you advocate that. we understand. someone might have to say that a lawyer helps. it all depends on the IO and how they read you.
Benny SinghMar 11, 2022
@gabriel Thomas I agree about the situation. It only works for people who can afford to do it . I still had my 3 year opt so I could afford take my time . But again two interviews take on a an average 4 years , apply late can reduce your timeline my 1.5 years .
Benny SinghMar 11, 2022
@JB I don't say that lawyer are unnecessary, but in all my experience the process is quite straight forward. As I said the approval for aos are high, most of the weaknesses in the case can be addressed before the interview . Unless your case is an outlier lawyers don't add to the whole process by being present there. All the possibilities of the interview process can be simulated before the actual interview .

maybe you can rephase it in a way that apply around 1 year anniversary if you can afford. actually I've seen cases that was applied too late and was questioned because the IO thinks most people applied right away and started to be skeptical to all the evidence...
