No interview. I have another friend whose card was approved several months ago without an interview. Both cases are based on asylum.

my priority date is 7/14/2020. submission was on 4/1/2021 though. i hope your case gets finalized soon, too.

@Josh, thats 💯 normal… we rarely ever get interviewed. in fact I don’t know anyone who has gotten interviewed and I know more than 10 people.
Liam LiamMay 23, 2022
@josh…what for?
e sMay 23, 2022
I mean we had an interview during the asylum process. We had s slam dunk case. I wouldn’t mind another interview, but I’d rather my taxpayer dollar spent on more important things. Especially considering that USCIS had a huge backlog.

have***…it’s still there
e sMay 23, 2022
I was referring to the interview process of the asylum. Yes the immigration case as a whole is still open.

Dumb question, but if you are on an asylum case, for where did you get your travel document approved for? Can you travel back to your country on an asylum approved green card?
e sMay 25, 2022
i filled the app the same day with i485. not sure if it was a part of i485.
about travel back to home country: technically there’s no restriction. but could it impact my case adversely? I guess it’s possible. but I didn’t travel anywhere, traveling to the country I was born is not safe for me anyway.
