@Klau S kindly educate me on this, are saying while on removal proceedings your I-485 got approved?? because i was told anyone on removal proceedings, uscis can only approve I-130, than you apply to the Court to dismisse the case since I-130 has been approved, kindly share your story on this pls

yes I was told by my lawyer that you can be a green card holder and still be in removal of proceedings, once I get the card, my lawyer will make a motion to terminate the removal proceedings, I believe all cases are different, I have never been detained or deported, I got to be in removal of proceedings since I had previously applied for asylum with i-589 and you have to be put in removal proceedings in order for you to get an individual hearing and a judge can give remove the restriction and apply for a visa to become resident, but since I got married before we make a motion to close that case, the Judge has no jurisdiction over me, as I am an arriving alien, Uscis does, so uscis approved both forms now I have to wait for the judge to dismissed the case, we can leave the case open as I will have a problem to travel and to become a citizen.
