Can you maintain the validity of the GC by coming back to the US every 6mo but only stay for 1-2 days each time?
I’m a US permanent resident with 10 year green card. I have to be abroad for working in another country for 2-3 years but have intent to return to the US afterwards. If I return to the US every 6 months but only stay for one-two days in the country, is that sufficient to maintain the validity of my green card? I will be filing and paying taxes as well as maintaining / investing in my HSA, IRA accounts.

@E J Is one or two days consider living in the US?
it's very risky, I wouldn't do it.
Why don't you apply for a re-entry permit instead? This is the way to do it.
