I believe only green card holders and U.S citizens can use FAFSA. look into the school he want to go to and ask them what resources they have for undocumented students. I am a college student myself but I am also a DACA recipient which they have their own college fund. is your son 18 yet ?

@Andrea Gómez , with prima facie. one can get fafsa. I'm currently receiving fafsa with the help of my prima facie. but not really sure if a child could get aid with their parent prima facie.

@Zillionnaire O yes he can . As long as he has SSN and he was listed as a derivative on your prima facie

@Andrea Gómez Yes he is 18 yes old and the scholarship that the college is offering him is FAFSA dependent. It's really a concern for me because I don't want him to miss the opportunity

@Zillionnaire O I think your son is eligible. When I tried to apply a few years ago for FAFSA, all they need is SSN. As long as you have a SSN, you are good.

another questioning anyone knows.. what happened if you use fafsa to studie but you get vawa approved and your gc before finishing studie, does the scholarship still apply till the end?

@Good vibes I don't think VAWA or GC approval negatively affects fafsa. if anything, it helps because that way you are sure to renew fafsa annually because you are in good standing.
