why they won’t let you do the i131? you can legit file on your own. I filed mine alone and got receipt that it’s being processed!

@aki rin that’s crazy because even after this administration is gone, you will still need the RTD. the processing time is long so I don’t know why they don’t advise you to apply to at least have it on hand. that’s crazy to me

it’s too early for GC to be approved and you have to wait for a year to start thinking about WOM. I think you can go ahead and apply for RTD tho

@aki rin Apply for your I-131. I was in a similar situation like you. I left and re-entered without any issues. I went and came back through JFK

you don’t need a lawyer to apply for RTD, just follow the I-131 instructions and provide your I-94 that’s shows approval, government Id, and filling fee

@aki rin I would say apply for it, you do not need a lawyer, I did it on my own for my mom, my brother and myself. there is nothing to lose by filing it, at least you will have it. message me if you need help or anything!

@aki rin Yes just do it. also look for a new lawyer haha. As long as you haven’t committed crimes, you should be fine coming back inside. mine took only 4 months but that’s bc I expedited it. but it’s really hard to do that. my new renewal is taking forever now

@Jhonny Zion my sister was sick and she lives in a different country. so I showed proof. it was hard though. I kept calling every week and even had to get my local congresswoman to reach out before anything happened
