can I travel on plane while waiting for my i601a to be approved ?
Hello everyone , Im writing this post because I’m looking for some advice, I’m waiting like many of us on my i601a to be approved , i already did my biometrics and stuff , I want to go with my family on vacation by plane inside the US territory , I have my valid Mexican passport but I don’t have a DL , is it safe to travel ? will I encounter any problems ? if so what would happen if I get detained by ice or border patrol ? any advice ? #i601a #travel

@Ramon Victoria depends on where you want to travel? I have family that have gone to Florida , Cali and other states. they don’t go close to border Cali and stay away from border of Texas too. idk if the new law of Florida will effect tho? some work people have gone to like Hawaii with no issue, I think there is always a risk you know

contact your lawyer, but I’ve heard via plane is fine, we don’t risk going on plane tho! we drive , and we’ve turned it into like fun family road-trips. I reached out to my lawyer to go to Florida before the law had happened n said it was fine but always a risk, my hubby has DL in USA and his passport Mexicano. but we still avoid planes

mi esposo ha viajado conmigo a California y a Florida sin problema. evita viajar a estados fronterizos nada mas y de ser posible viaja a aeropuertos locales no internacionales

@Ramon Victoria Hi Ramón, you are safe to travel anywhere by plane within the US especially to Utah. I do caution that some international airports might cause some problems. As far as i-601A, it has no impact on your domestic flight. Go to Utah and have fun.

you can travel that’s not a problem. just don’t go close to border by Texas and you’ll be good. there’s a risk always but that risk is even by driving so just enjoy. I have traveled a lot with my passport and never had any problems. good luck
