can I sue the USCIS?
I’ve been rejected from tons of jobs even the ones that don’t require green card just because no one understands what approved asylum is! I applied for the green card 2019! this is disgusting. life without green card in this country is not easy even if they pretend it is. I’m a career driven person and now I’m suffering because of the lack of green card. as someone who paid almost 50k in taxes this year I’m not at the top of the list of people getting their god damn GC. now after losing my job no one want to hire me because of my statues.
Screw the USCIS! #greencard #uscis #jobs

you can but that’s a whole another process
Valeria ShaNov 28, 2022
sorry, I totally feel you as I applied for it in 2020. do you have an EAD or is it expired?
mb oNov 29, 2022
Did u apply for work authorization? or i94
john TNov 29, 2022
I don’t need work authorization as the asylum approval is itself a work authorization. and even applying with EAD doesn’t get you corpert job easily as the stupid recruiters think you might need sponsorship in the future.
john TNov 29, 2022
the asylum approval states clearly in “English” that I can work in this country indefinitely. people here are just not so bright or they don’t know how to read even the smart ass corporate people. what a joke
mb oNov 29, 2022
@john T. since the people don't know save your self the stress of explaining and go get your i94 .with that no one will stop you from working.
john TNov 29, 2022
I have the i94! no one knows what’s that either. They ask are you authorized to work? -yes = do you green card or citizen. - no and whatever I say they will ask what is that, how long will it last and that might require sponsorship. only big tech knows what i94 or asylum is, otherwise punch of illetrate retards.

same problem. people don't understand what is approved asylum. even I print all the papers with explanation not works.

I completely understand!! I faced that myself too! The receuters don’t know anything about asylum and that you don’t need an EAD since your Asylum is granted. At my work I’ve been asked the EAD even though I explained them about my asylum status and they have refused me without EAD!
I think in this case we have to file a lawsuit when they refuse in employment because of that - might be a discrimination on immigration status (clearly!!!) just because of their retardness. I think after the settlement they’ll have to pay they’ll have to read that asylum status allows to work with NO EAD

@john you should have applied for EAD renewal along with your adjustment of status, it's free of cost. you can still do it
john TDec 8, 2022
@YouDo the Assylum doc says in plain English “no EAD required” plus the EAD is a useless document that expires in 2 years when I was applying with it I always get this stupid question “what happens after 2 years you won’t be able to work?”
EAD and any other doc is good for working as a barista in Starbucks. unless it’s google or apple non accept this useless shit.
the whole documentation is broken. the whole migration system is broken and grossly underfunded.
john TDec 8, 2022
@S N. corporates will reject you for your paper but when faced with the law they will say you were not qualified or they were cutting cost. that’s how easy it is to manipulate laws in this country. I want to sue the useless USCIS

@john t , im working for one for fortune 100 IT with my EAD which is based on Asylum . and now I'm about apply based on adjustment of status so I would recommend you to apply based on AOS and if a recruiter ask you about your EAD type tell them is GCEAD. Which will be the case .
john TDec 9, 2022
I was working for Fortune 500 company big tech. it was fine. but now I got laid off and I’m applying for other companies. and other companies they don’t understand that.
Alik AlikDec 17, 2022
Asylum is dead end. You have no rights. No permits to leave county, advanced parole taking long time, every 2 years EAD expires and taking long time to get new one.

Happened to me just recently, my ead expired but my asylum approval the legal language written there about ead or should work without ead is not clear.
So what happened I has been working for company for two years now and I received email from HR to put me on leave without pay so I was confused I asked my manager he don't know anything about this I just immediately realized that I'm in trouble because there was just 5 days to leave company if I don't has ead immediately I apply and sent application to uscis and ups delays my application for 10 days due to weather conditions was in Texas that time
But after 15 days they sent me receipt with more than 500 extended days that when my company allows me to stay working
during this I had some conversation with my direct manager and he told me that the company is private they don't care about federal government agencies decision or policies and regulations and he says that they can fire anyone without even read those rules and I says to him that you can't just fire me without any reason and he say yes we can I said well. now I don't really care anything than check

Hope this helps someone: once you have your asylum approved you can apply for unrestricted SS. All you need to provide to HR is your Drivers license and unrestricted Social Security like any other US worker with or without green card.

You can sue USCIS on your own, my friend did it for his delayed case, and got papers within 45 days. Youtube "writ of mandamus pro se"
