Can I have two i485 from marriage based AOS and employment based AOS?
I am on H1-B visa. I filed i130 and i485 this year sponsored by my spouse who is a US citizen. And recently my eb3 priority date became current. My lawyer said yes you can have multiple i485 but I was wondering if this will cause any delay of approval as it might confuse the immigration officer? Anyone had any similar experience? Big thanks!

@Max Smith it will not cause any delays. you can file both and wait which one will be approved first.
if you get gc through marriage you'll be able to file for citizenship after 3 years
if you get a gc through employer you'll not be dependent on your spouse.
other than that there is nothing to worry.

@N F thanks for the info! Actually as long as you are married to a citizen you can apply citizenship after having green card for three years regardless of the category
