I said the same thing but when I went to mine first time without a lawyer OMG was horrible and they asked me to come a second time that’s when I hire a lawyer , and they asked me same questions and my lawyer told the officer u can’t him that’s question it’s inappropriate and I got approved on spot

@kiki luis... just tell her what types of questions were inappropriate that the IO mentioned and which was raised by your lawyer. That will help her too if she doesn't want to hire a lawyer.

I know you said you want a lawyer but the best thing to do now is prepare hard for a stoke interview and get a lawyer you will need one so that the officer wouldn’t cross the line

oh no! I just looked it up what a stoke interview was about. it is also called a marriage fraud interview so it means they are doubting your marriage. I think if you are scheduled to an interview, hiring an attorney is not a bad idea. they will think you are serious and legit enough to pay for it. I am wondering if your evidence files werent enough for them... I am sorry that they give you such a hard time but I hope everything works out soon! good luck!

Someone I know get RFE( 60 days to respond with evidence of bonafide marriage) then NOID (30 days to convince them more). I guess the first set of evidence wasn't enough. No decision yet though

I think what prompted this interview was me writing a letter stating our case had not been updated since our interview no update on them receiving the RFE info, although we received confirmation from post office.

I gave her advice to go with lawyer , but she said she’ll go without a lawyer , a stoke interview is really complicated , it’s like a fraud marriage interview, they probably investigate on her case talked to her or his neighbors about their marriage. I went through this thing my self , it’s stressful, my advice again for her is to hire a lawyer?

Thanks for all the positive comments but our marriage is strong so I don't find a need for an attorney. I will stay strong, positve and trust in the Lord. We have nothing to hide.

@ cyndi m. I sent everything requested: Letters from friends & family members attesting to our marriage, 3 months bank statements.

@kings wife. At the interview we took bank statements, car insurance, life insurance, utility bills, photos of us on trips and with friends and family, marriage photos & license. The officer only wanted 10 pictures but we had over 50.

MJ Adel. Don't worry about, just prepare yourself with all documents that you can. Try to address with your spouse the same answer. Everything is gonna be OK. The officer might trick with some questions just pay attention and answer in a good behavior. Hope you have a smooth interview. Bring that GC girl, you rock!!!
