c8 and c9 ead card notice
Hello community, I got married in January of 2023 and submitted my application for adjustement of status and a new ead card in june. Now, i also have pending current asylum case and had an ead card with that process but decided not to renew since i had already started this new process.
My question is does the recepit notice work from my current ead card? i still havent received my work permit after 6 month and im afraid ill loose my job because i disnt renew through the asylum application

Make sure the jugde dismisses your asylum case before your interview
Some officers may deny you just for that.

you needed to renew you c08. my brother did the same and he never got EAD, he had to wait until a judge dismissed the asylum and granted the green card and in the meantime he renewed c08

i have almost the same situation but my asylum was closed by judge and I applied my new ead with the mariage and still waiting for

got it, the thing is when i submitted my adjustment status i also requested an ead under c9 do i have to wait for the new ead or attempt to renew the c8 while i wait for c9 one
