this movement doesnβt make any sense when you look at DOF and FAD gap, file while you can folks, I expect a huge retrogression in Q4, summer months
Mandem FCFeb 20, 2026
@Paan Singh expecting retrogession again for FAD
Paan Singh Feb 20, 2026
@tribal chief probably for filing dates, I donβt see it retrogressing for final action given 2 months movement there.
Mandem FCFeb 20, 2026
@Paan Singh when do you see another movement for 1 dec 21?
M 2022Feb 20, 2026
FAD always reaches DOF. See the visual graph in app. Im actually very positive now.
Paan Singh Feb 20, 2026
@M 2022 No, its unlikely they will advance the Final Action Date to June 22, 2022, with only two quarters remaining in the fiscal year, given the significant influx of pending and anticipated applications which will start to land on USCIS lockboxes in a week.
Additionally, the U.S. Department of State is expected to finalize new admission requirements for individuals from the currently restricted 75 countries within approximately 90 days. The government cannot indefinitely delay enforcement or resolution of these restrictions. Retrogression in May and June Visa Bulletins is a strong possibility.
The only exception would be if, due to procedural or administrative considerations, the Department of State elects to temporarily extend the current framework for a few additional months before implementing the revised admission requirements.
Paan Singh Feb 20, 2026
@tribal chief keep an eye out for Q4 bulletin, this movement was unexpected. Given the ban for these countries continue expect movement in FAD which will probably clear 2021.
sam youngFeb 20, 2026
@Paan Singh do you think date of filing will advance again to July 22 in upcoming visa bulletin?
Paan Singh Feb 20, 2026
@sam young keep an eye out on any news on ban on 75 countries, SCOTUS struck down President Tβs tarrifs today, if same scenario unfolds for the visa ban then expect retrogression else its gonna move forward in Q4 for both DOF and FAD. Either way there will be a huge retrogression in the future when the issue of ban comes to a resolution.
M 2022Feb 20, 2026
@Paan Singh I didn't say that it will match next month. I was referring to the historical data. 6-12 month catch up was the highest as I checked. It's just something we can grab into to not lose our minds.π€£
screw BDV Feb 22, 2026
there might be an injunction from lower courts but that will only apply to the jurisdiction they are in and then they will appeal it to emergency docket if that happens. SCOTUS already ruled in trumps favor in 2016 regarding similar case. the ban/pause will stay
