yes you can open an account with ssn with your country passport and a proof of address from you husband get it notarized

As others stated, you can have bank account, family phone plan, insurance(s), your husband can add you as his beneficiary, ppl sending you mails addressed to both of you, wedding invitations, etc etc

@MB your husband could have put your name under his bank infos as authorized user. And once done, you just have to write a full explanation letter where you will provide them with the reason why you guys didn't have a lot bank statement together.

I am in NY and this is one of the state that u can do a lot of things without SSN and be added to a lot of things as a beneficiary. U don't need an SSN to open a bank account for all banks. I opened my account without an SSN with TD Bank. Your spouse can add you to his bank account and add you as an authorized user for his credit card and that doesn't require an SSN. If your spouse has any insurance, 401k, etc he can add you as well. Get affidavits from family, friends, and neighbors to talk about your relationship. let your spouse add you to his gym membership, Costco, BJs, Sam club, Amazon, etc. (if he has any). Take pictures of mail with your name, his name and or both names with the house address to show u both live together, if both IDs have the same address u can use that too It is easy to get an NYC ID, (not State ID only residents can get that). let your spouse add you as an emergency contact at work and the hospital, etc. any utility bill with your name… phone bill? Any big purchases u guys made together? furniture? did u guys travel? u can submit the itinerary with both names… etc. Just be creative and think what could prove the relationship is real. Any congratulations card from family and friends? Any gifts to each other? Every little piece of evidence adds up. I was able to do all the above and be added to my spouse's insurances (life insurance, disability, etc ), 401k, 457 plan, bank account, credit card, etc without SSN the only thing I could not be added to was his medical insurance because I didn’t have an SSN and I did it once I got it.
