biometrics appointment rescheduling
hi all I recently got my biometrics letter in the mail on Friday (9th) and it is scheduled for the 20th July already. I am 39 weeks pregnant and my due date is the 16th July. I can essentially give birth at any minute. I am so stuck whether I should try to reschedule but I am afraid if I reschedule that the reschedule date would be way out into the future. Also since the biometrics date is in 10 days, would they even let me reschedule last minute. I am in such a huge dilemma I have been waiting over 10 months for my EAD and with this baby coming I really need to get back to work and rescheduling I think would push everything back Any advice ?

you can go to application support center ahead of your schedule date and you can ask them to take your biometrics. Most of them accept walk ins if you have legit reason. I highly advice you do not reschedule it.

I would love to do that but the notice says they don’t accept walk ins. should I still give it a try you think?

yes take all your medical follow up document with you that shows you are due to give birth in any minute. This application centers are third party ( outsources by USCIS) , and it is a business for them too.

they never reject Walk ins as long as you have your appointment letter. give a try this coming week with all documents to prove you won't be able to make on the fixed date. good luck

alexa give it a try. I did walkin 2weeks before my scheduled date and I was let in even though I wasn’t let in at first but I was adamant. you have a very good reason and anybody that doesn’t let you in is very wicked

nope. before they can ask anything I just said I’m probably going to be stuck in the hospital giving birth during my scheduled appointment and the lady at the door said she will talk to her supervisor. Supervisor just said come on in

hey @Alexa!! I just got my bio scheduled. praise be to God. I am also going to try to go early before my scheduled appointment. I don't really have a valid reason but I want to give it a try. around what time did you go in?
