I don't think there is. you'll just get a letter in the mail. there was no status update for me.

ok thanks. @josh that document tab seems to be a myth for certain people…. I applied for a GC, mariage based. we filed the forms and sent it to Chicago. I created an account online and I only see case and case history that’s it.

my bio appointment was updated on this app, “we scheduled your bio “ but for most people it doesn’t update

I would ask has my bio appointment been scheduled then eventually they told me I’m reserved for one but no set time or date yet and then randomly I got it

@Nicolas: You can. Chat with Emma to get you connected with live agent and then ask them about the biometric. if it has been scheduled they will tell you. however you will receive the appointment letter only like 10-15 days prior to your appointment date

Thanks for your answers. @Vega S, so far my talks with agents on Emma hasn’t been really successful. very basic and generic answers every time I got a chance to talk to them. it was better over the phone.

@Vanessa, how long did it take you to finally get the appointment from the first time you started asking?

@Nicolas H. I’m not sure I was just consistent but from when I filed my cases it took 4 months to get my bio

@Nicolas asking them is not going to help. the time it takes mostly depends on where you live. 4 months may mean that it's almost your turn or nowhere near your turn depending on your local office. having waited for 8 months for my bio I fully understand your frustration. but I also know calling USCIS often is not going to help your mental health. if you have a good reason to expedite that may help speed it up. but they may not look into it since it's only been 4 months.

Mine is 1.27.21 but it also depends on your case and service center every case is different. Also a lot of centers are moving very slow !! but sending positive vibes your way. I wish you the best !

I just tried to call them and it was not possible to get someone over the line. is there specific keywords you used to get hold of one of these agents?

Say technical issues and then it will put you through to a live agent but I suggest calling in the morning the wait times are usually crazy in the afternoon

My cases 1-765 (work authorization) and 1-821D (daca) are at the California service center and there moving very slow other centers are getting approved days or a couple weeks after bio for my cases but it’s been over a month now and nothing. I’m hoping to hear good news soon !!

Hopefully yes! I feel like immigration is more important there than for example Arizona or Texas. might explain the slow process? I’m stressing out because my visa ends at the end of September and I need to keep working…..

True !! I live in Virginia though but grew up mostly in Georgia I’ve been here since I was 6 and am now 23. My life has been on hold can’t work or get my license so this will literally change my life. I’ve heard of people over stay there Visa and everything still worked out for them

My PD is sep-30-20 and still waiting for them to schedule my biometrics…. my center is California, but living in Fort Lauderdale. I tried already to call but had no success, they told my case is not outside the time limit.

I got a letter for my biometric but not update on my app I wondered why but everything's else before was updated even before I got the letter in my mailbox
