Biometric appointment notice misplaced by USPS
My biometric appointment scheduled for Feb 14, 2022 but I don't receive appointment notice in mail till now. I heard that USCIS don't send duplicate notices and at ASC, appointment confirmation letter or notice is mandatory to enter. What are my options in case USPS delay/lost my notice?

I received a letter from USPS however in the same day my attorney sent me the same letter by email that I received on the mail, you can ask your attorney and print it at home they will accept it.

thanks for the comments.. I did self filing. I am using USPS informed delivery service & it is not reflect my biometric appointment letters till date. I got to know my appointment date via Emma chat. The representative told me to wait until Monday else they'll send it via email. I read somewhere that they don't send it via email too. I am not nervous now. hopefully, USPS will deliver it by Monday.

Yes, if it didn't show up in informed delivery, probably it is on it's way !!! In case you didn't receive try calling USCIS customer service instead of chatting with emma. You might get better help there instead of rescheduling.

Try checking your documents tab on your online uscis account. Maybe you can print that out. I hope your situation works out in your favor!

@Hi18 18:- How to see documents tab? There is no document tab under my profile. I can see document tab only for my wife's EAD which was filed online a year ago.

When you submit your forms/applications, they’ll send you receipt notice and soon follow a letter recommending you sign up an online account, the letter would include access code that once you put in while setting up account, it connects to all your cases that are active. If you did not receive that or did not set up account within the valid time for the code, you’ll need to contact them and ask for it. Once your cases are connected to your account, you can choose to see the status, processing time (only for a certain type of forms, I think the petitioners forms), history, and documents tabs/sections under each forms you submit. That’s how you find documents and also for uploading documents if need to. You can also add case manually by yourself, but the case will look a little different and might not have different tabs/sections to check more details. As for paper file that are not scanned to be with IOE receipt number, I am not sure if they’ll setup an access code for you as well or not, I would assume they should setup for every applicant. But if anyone can share their experience, that’d be great, otherwise, I’d say contact USCIS and see if they can help you set up one so you can check the progress. They probably would like people to have access as well so they don’t have to answer ALL the calls asking their case progress. 😂

@S L:- Thank you very much for the detail explanation. I don't receive any letter which has access code to sign up an online account. However, I make an USCIS account normally by providing username and password and put my cases manually for tracking purposes. I don't know now if they can send me that letter to set up a new account for me. But I'll surely give it a try tomorrow. Thanks once again, I appreciate it.

@Manish On the letter that they sent me, they did mentioned there’s a certain timeframe for the code to be valid. They also said if it falls out of the time when I want to to set up an account, I could contact them to have them send me another code. So for sure give it a try, if you missed the letter, the code might not work anymore. It will be too late for your biometrics appointment this time, since it takes time for them to sen DM you the mail with the code. But in the long run for future updates, you’d be benefit from it if it works out. And I do hope it works out for you. I actually added another case of mine on my accounts once that didn’t get connected automatically along with the cases they setup with the code, it looked different than other ones, and I couldn’t see the tab options. I assume that what yours like. Good luck contacting them and ask them how to get that appointment since you can’t find them on the online account due to not having it set up the way they should be.

@S L:- Thank you very much once again for the explanation. I checked USPS informed delivery just now and it shows the notices, to be delivered tomorrow. I'll surely speak to representative and ask for the code to setup my USCIS account online.

I am getting something in the mail today from uscis. I got to know via informed usps delivery.. I am nervous as to what that could be ? any idea anyone ? I had applied eb1 485 Oct 2020 and had interview in sept 21, have been waiting since then. my attorney had raised a SR though a couple days back, wondering if it’s response to that or what ?
