hello Everyone ,
can anybody advise if you are on asylum waiting on Final hearing in 2024 - and if you been offered employment based to file your case what are the chances to be approved or it will be straight denial did any one had this experience your legit advice will be highly apprecaited .

unless you have a valid status such as h1b, f1, tps when you actually file for 485, you will be denied. you cannot claim pending asylum as valid immigration status to change status to green card holder

@dak zeke that’s not true I know several people who changed status from pending asylum to employee based green card, when you file for asylum you are legally permitted to remain in the US. it decision is based on the officer’s discretion and have seen some cases approved
