Automatic extension EAD
Good evening everyone,
I received my receipt notice for the I-765 and if I’m reading it correctly it mentions certain categories now get a 540 day extension to continue to working while their green card is processing and they need to show their receipt notice and expired EAD. Dows anyone have experience with this? were you able to work with just your receipt notice and expired EAD??

your employer will ask you for both expired EAD and receipt notice for Form i9 purposes. If you have an extension you should have no trouble working.

if only Dmv (driver licence would accept it)

You have to know that it is just at the discretion of your employer. Some doesn't take/consider extension letter but other consider. So, it really depends on employer
