asylum granted EAD
Has anyone received an EAD card based on a granted asylum case, or has anyone's case been approved? Also, does anyone have an idea of how long the process usually takes?"

Honestly, you don’t even need EAD if your asylum granted, just use i94 white card with “asylum granted” print. But, anyways I know it takes 3-4 months, A5 category, hope you didn’t pay any fees because it’s free for asylees

I was granted asylum by immigration judge. I applied for ead and had to wait 4 months and it’s free. I heard people who get asylum in USCIS get ead automatically.

@God Bless America that's no longer a true statement. In order to meet the Real ID requirements, the EAD is a must. the I-94 alone doesn't meet Real ID requirements. So, @Malik B does need the EAD card.

@Malik B for immigration court grants you will have to apply for your EAD based on A5 category. waiting time went down to 3 months. when you apply choose “Initial” application since it’s yours first A5 EAD,valid for 5 years and fees are waived for your first one. you don’t need it, but it makes life easier at DMV,airports, jobs and etc….people have no idea what i-94 is 😀lady DMV told me STOP SAYING i-94 CARD, ITS A PIECE OF PAPER I NEED AN ACTUAL I94 card 😀😀
