Asyllum pending since Jan 2016
Hi my case has been pending since 2016 any body have any news about that (form 1-589)

unfortunately, that's Asylum cases. they stay pending for years, especially as since 2018, USCIS now process them as last in, first out on orders of the previous administration. so, anything before that got pushed back further in line.

This decision wasn’t fair for us who submitted our cases first. this is so stressful
it’s almost 7 years waiting for my interview date😭😭😭

Kristine - I sympathize with you very much, and agree with you. it was not a fair decision and I wish the current administration would overturn it. I, myself, have my own case pending since January 2017. it sucks.

I have talked to some attorneys if I can expedite it or at least can have an interview. The attorney fee will be $15000 and there is no guarantee. Upon that EAD has been pending since March,2021. It is depressing and beyond frustrating!

Sky - wow, EAD renewal pending since March 2021???? 😱 have you tried expediting? which service center has your EAD case?

Sky - I'm truly sorry to learn that. the US immigration system is very broken and in need of fixing for real.

sky c I applied for my EAD in May 2021 but upto now I have yet got it and the worst part is all my ids lincence passport have expired and I can’t renew anything without EAD But the good news on Jan 19th it was approved and I should be getting my EAD in two weeks I guess. This whole process is so traumatizing and depressing

I called them there and then the lady expedited it for me I used Nebraska the service center

@RL am sorry I just seen this but they never asked for any proof they put in a request there and then and with in a week and few days I got my EAD in the mail
