Can I travel with hime country passport and green card to my home country, It's life emergency of family member
Rose LinMar 17, 2024
You can, but you’ll risk not being able to go back to the US. At the end of the day, the decision is yours. Consult with your immigration lawyer.
E HopefulMar 17, 2024
You must be very stupid to do so. we have addressed this topic on this forum on multiple occasions. Good luck and get ready to lose your green card, and you probably won’t be eligible to become a citizen once the government finds out through your travel history on your N-400 that you went back home unless you are no longer persecuted there. And if that’s not the case, that means you have no basis on staying in the US. The government can cancel and ask you to leave the US since you are no longer persecuted in your home country because your residency is solely based on your asylum status. Also, being a permanent resident here does not automatically cancel your asylum fears in your home country. So good luck with your stupid question, as if you don’t know the consequences. Just because X did it does not mean it’ll work for you. CBP has been really cracking down on asylees who travel abroad. I know of two folks who are currently in deportation because they use the passport of their country of origin and travel home with their asylee green cards.

@WF RG yes you can, upon return they will refer you to a secondary inspection, where you can explain what happened. a 1 week trip wouldn't be a big deal.
WF RGMar 17, 2024
alex B thanks, my trip will be for 1.5 week and have all the proofs also hired a lawyer for customs if have any problem.
E HopefulMar 18, 2024
you and your lawyer are very stupid. I aslo assume you answered yes to the RTD question which inquires whether you are going to go the country of persecution or somewhere else. At the end of the day, USCIS already knows your intent of going there; so, get ready for it :) and just spill the beans to CBP you went to your country of origin because you are a LPR. Your family emergency back home has no bearing on your persecution and does not shield you from persecution. You are the kind of folks who are doing dumb stuff to harm other people who have legitimate claims of asylum. A person with real persecution does not even think about availing himself/herself to the country of persecution. Honeslty, I am very sickened by people like you and idiots like Alex. @Alex B why would you even mislead @WF RG ? 1 week or 1 day does not matter and is not a pass to go to your country of persecution. People like you should be reported immediately to CBP and deported for breaking asylum laws.

@WF RG good luck, please let us know how it all went. Don't listen @E Hopeful . This community is well aware this person is just a clueless yapping puppy.

Yes please share your experience @WF RG. By the way when are you planning to travel?
E HopefulMar 21, 2024
@Alex B @WF RG — I do not have time to argue with you, because you act like folks who gamed the system. I would even say that you fit the profile of fraudsters. As a matter of fact, you don’t even deserve it. You may have been granted in error; but can gladly report you to CBP and USCIS if you want. Also, you don’t seem to respect asylum laws put in place by the US government. That said, I challenge you both on your next travel outside the US to use the passports of your home countries or even renew them and then let us see what’s going to happen when you come to the States. Report the truth to CBP that you went home without using the RTD. That would be very stupid of you to behave as such because your status will be revoked. Again, you can only risk going home when the persecution is NO LONGER affecting you and even then you still have to prove it (this can be a regime change, etc.) I won’t address this anymore, as you are NOT worth my time. Also, be super brave to report on your RTD application that you will be going to the home country. I feel like we have lots of fraudsters here. Again, adjusting your status to that of a permanent resident DOES NOT nullify your fear of persecution in the home country. So why be so naive and stupid at the same time ?
E LMar 26, 2024
@E Hopeful Stop lying in this community, they should block you. You always say stupid things. Anyone with their green card can travel with their country's passport, because it is not taken care of by the USA. There are more countries that do not accept the travel document.
E HopefulMar 26, 2024
@E L you are ignorant as hell. How about you block yourself rather than meddling in with some nonsense ? please shut up if You don’t know anything about asylum laws or rules. Since you don’t know now you should know: You can use a re-enter permit to travel if your country (for example Dubai, which I know you are from) does NOT accept the Refugee Travel Document. It is just that simple. So please stop spreading and embracing ignorance. Go stay those things to CBP and USCIS asylum offices and they will thank you later. You can’t, because you know the consequences of violating those rules or conditions. Unfortunately, you still pretend to ignore the truth by exposing your naivety and lack of knowledge. Get educated prior to spewing nonsense.
